Proteins in nutrition – truths and misconceptions

Podeli:

Unlike fats and carbohydrates, the body does not store proteins, so they must be consumed daily. For a healthy person, the measure is 0.9 g per 1 kg of body weight. Most people, including healthcare professionals (who are, of course, also people), when mentioning protein, think of meat. People generally decipher the recommendation for protein intake as a recommendation for increased consumption of meat and animal products in general. I will not dedicate this text to the consequences of consuming (especially excessively) animal products in the body. I will dedicate it to information about where natural proteins are actually found, which the strongest animals in the world – herbivores (monkeys, elephants…) consume or have consumed as such. Among them are those that today’s humans eat (cows, etc.) and thus consume partially digested plant-based proteins secondhand plant-based protein – indirectly consumed via animal products (with all the blood, urine, additives, nitrites, and parasites, plus antibiotics with which animals are crammed to prevent constant inflammation). The profession explains this with the excuse that in this way, already prepared amino acids necessary for the human body are introduced. For people who are not in the profession, especially for those interested mostly only in “bread and circuses” programs or those burdened with social and other problems, this information is sufficient. Although it is incorrect. More precisely, based on a foundation of truth and distorted.

When someone mentions proteins, especially Essential Amino Acids which are essential for the body, know that they can be found in almost complete composition in almost all nuts, broccoli, carrots. Plant-based foods like legumes, mushrooms, grains, pseudo-grains (quinoa, buckwheat, amaranth), are full of proteins (many times more than the most protein-rich meat), not to mention minerals like iron and the rarely isolated, yet so necessary, calcium. From these foods, the most diverse and delicious meals can easily be prepared, which not only provide the body with the necessary energy but also maintain satiety and prevent bloating and the terrible feeling of acid production in the stomach after food full of refined ingredients.
